Science- A Satire

Oh Science A ball falls when you let go of it? Objects move? When you mix two things together, it makes something else? Such mind-boggling, phenomenal, monumental discoveries that can alter the tides of humanity are all united by a common root: science.      Physics, chemistry, geology, and biology, are all numerous sub parts of this subject, each with their own charm. Their idiosyncrasy and enthralling nature finds allurement pivotally from it’s impossible difficulty. Humans have skin on their bodies? It's no wonder why we spend two whole years covering such a wide range of topics in the field of biology. ...

The Picture

The Picture There’s always been something weird about FreeFlame. The game itself was fine, with a fiery, hellish theme, action-packed RPG game play, and an overall fun and enjoyable theme and game style. But the ambience of the game is off.  I started noticing queer things a few weeks ago. For one, whenever I would start the game, my phone would immediately start overheating, to the point where it would boil like a furnace just to the touch, as well as start emitting an eerie whistling sou...

My thoughts on $$$

The Big Bucks “Money is a funny thing… the more you worry about it, the less you have. The less you worry about it, the more you have.” -unanimous. Money, by definition, is an elemental form of currency that holds value to every human being on the planet. It has caused millions of people to be disconsolate, impoverished, and sunken down into the cavernous depths of an ocean containing those more privileged above. It has also been the birthplace of endless glee, freedom, and sanctuary. A few slips of paper is enough to change someone’s life. Being a child, I understand the essentiality of money. Although I lounge back and susta...

Win or Sin?

Win or Sin? A cool breeze saturates my sweat into my pores, as the density rocks my head like a rocking chair. Hundreds of thousands of dim beady eyes let loose an electric field that dawns closer to my skull, scrutinizing my every twinge in movement. The soccer ball ahead of my foot cackles in my uncertainty, it’s black and white patches materializing in front of my eyes at every blink for the last fortnight. A burly hippopotamus  guards the thin barricade of netting where I must land the ball, his menacing glare unfazed and his position barbarous. As the grass sways around my feet like cheerleaders, and the suspense o...

God

God I gaze up into the starry night sky, curiously watching as orbs and bright white flashes of light whiz by, awestruck by the constellations that dance in the moonlight beams, rejuvenating in a mysterious fashion. Suddenly, my cheeks felt damp, and I noticed a warm trickle of salty water rolling down its circular mass. My gramp’s up there, I recollect through the tears, and instant flashes of his body lying so still, so peacefully, and so empty on his favorite creaky wooden rocking chair pass by. As I bask in my melancholy thoughts, a new one burst the bubble holding together the collection o...

Space Tourism- Pleasure v.s Prominence

Space Tourism- Pleasure v.s Prominence? I gaze into the starry omnipresence above, pondering over it’s insoluble depths, trying to fathom what lies up above. Suddenly, a tumultuous roar penetrates my earbuds, sending my nerves into overdrive, and lighting my nostrils on fire. As I gaze in the direction of the uproar, my cautious confusion is altered into calm curiosity, as I watch as a Gargantuan rocket ship soars up into the space above. Finally, I think, we will discover the potential of outer space. Years and years of research, billions of dollars invested, and it will now be to discover secrets so spectacular that it will all be worth it. The result? Nothing. Absolutely nothing but squandered time, money, and sanity. Aliens? None. We have footprints on the moon, and an even bigger carbon one. Space tourism is a vulgar display of power and wealth, completely unnecessary, and must be prescribed to cease the brutality it unleashes on our ecosystem. One of the major issues with s...

The Beauty of Nature

The Beauty of Nature                                                                      By Aryan Mukherjee “There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.” - Lord Byron The goblin green tinge of the leaves shimmer in the early dawn sunlight, tinkling in the freshly brewed dew. They dangle elegantly from the feeble twigs, balancing their weight upon its own. The leaves form an arch in which rays stream through, as they weave their way past the ro...
