Middle School....OOF!

 My Transition into Middle School By Aryan Mukherjee    Transitions happen on a day to day basis, and are important for people to grow. One important transition occurs when students go from Elementary School to Middle School, and students always seem to have a rainbow of feelings regarding this transition.      My days at Elementary School were all play and no work, if I am being quite honest. Being a kid, I approve of that, and the fact that we get to work on crafts, have little to no homework, and get to goof-off with friends during important examinations and lessons just adds to the light ambience and feeling of freedom that comes with the first six grades. When people think of school, they think of a place of boredom, of labor, and quite literally a jail cell.   A Turn of Fate By Aryan Mukherjee Thomas Jefferson once said, “ We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal ; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” In the case of Ryan Edwards, Mr. Jefferson did not know what he was talking about.  Ryan grew up in his home town in Raleigh, North Carolina, and from the day he was born, he had dreams that seemed impossible. You see, Ryan had Dupuytren’s contracture, a disease that transformed his hands into a twisted and crooked shape. His family was impoverished, living in poverty, and barely able to afford Ryan’s education. To make matters worse, Ryan wanted to become a doctor, moreover, a surgeon, when he grew up.   At Ryan’s school, despite his poor state at home, Ryan aced every one of his classes, and would always tell his classmates about his dream of becoming a doctor.   How my digital magazine was launched. On August 18, 2020, a prestigious author known as Namrata Singh released a digital magazine called Upsidedown. This magazine was created by my colleagues and I under her branch, and the next three stories I post can also be found in the magazine. Just wanted to make this known.
